Mud Membership

Mud Haven is a Co-op where Mud Members can come create 3 times a week, anytime between 5am-11pm, Tuesday-Sunday. No need to book online, just pop on in and get muddy.

To become a Mud Member-

You will need to complete 8-10 Ongoing classes with AJ before having full access to the Studio, to ensure that you fully know how the studio runs. Membership is for ages 16 and older.

Members will signup in-person with AJ.

Cost- Automatic Payment is $150 a month + the cost of your clay. Kiln firings included and the studio will have at least 5 buckets of different glaze colors available.

Clay Cost: $25 if paying with CASH, $27 if paying with a CARD for 25lbs. Clay is purchased from the studio.

We will require a copy of your driver’s license before you receive a key and have full access to the Studio.

The Studio-

We are not able to accommodate a production potter. The studio space is geared towards hobby potters.

3-8 wheels will be available, depending on Class/Workshop schedule. Hand building equipment available if you cant grab a wheel right away.

We ask that you purchase your clay from our studio. We do not fire outside clay. Members have access to studio glaze, tools, and all studio equipment, excluding the kiln. Only Mud Staff will operate or load/unload kiln.

Any outside glazes you use must be a Cone 6, preferably food safe and be labeled. No toxic glaze fired in kiln.

Both bisque and glaze firings are included, within reason. We are a small studio and cannot accommodate a production potter. If you start creating too many pieces, where we can’t keep up with kiln firing…. AJ will let you know.

Members will have their own shelf space in the kiln room to keep their clay and tools. Mud Haven is not responsible for any theft or lost items.

The studio is open to members on Holidays, as long as the holidays is not on a Monday. Mud Haven is closed on Mondays to catch up on workshops/clean/private parties.

Mud Membership Cancellation

You will need to give the studio 1 month advanced notice for Membership cancellation/Month vacation.
